The Side of Me, September 11th, 2024, 4 x 3 inches

Adrienne had created two separate vinyl stickers, one in pink and the other in black, to produce a side portrait profile as part of a digital fabrication course. This technical project aims to enhance Adrienne’s proficiency in using Rhino 3D software and a die cutter to print the digital pieces. From an artistic perspective, the color pink symbolizes vibrancy, girliness, innocence, and light-heartedness, while black is associated with dominance, power, elegance, gear, and wrong-doing. This project, in the context of Adrienne’s body of work aims to shed light on the potential for women to have their inner spark dimmed and marginalized.

Destination Unknown, October 2nd, Life Size, 2024

This project was made in Adrienne’s Digital Fabrication class where students had to create and design a life-size self-portrait silhouette that “should provide an immersive experience for the viewer” as students had to “consider previous vacations when you traveled by plane.” As a way to “reflect on the hours and moments in the terminal or at the gate leading up to your departure.” Which will then be cut out of removable vinyl and would be installed in the HxWxD gallery from the Joann Cole Mitte (JCM) Building displayed from October 7th till the 20th. In terms of the relation for Adriennes theme of work it showcases the feeling of always being on the go and wanting to be on the call for a getaway as in an escape.
